7. CREATE ALTERNATING SQUARE KNOT SECTION

To start the next section, take 4 strands of the longer pieces of wire and mount them onto a jump ring with lark's head knots. Secure the jump ring to the board with T-pins. Divide the 8 wire strands into 2 sections of 4. Tape down wires 2 and 3 and 6 and 7 and tie 2 square knots, side by side, with 1 and 4 and 5 and 8, respectively. Remove the tape. Now secure wires 4 and 5 and tie a square knot with wires 3 and 6 to form a second row. Repeat rows 1 and 2 to form an alternating square knot sequence. Remove the wires from the board, thread a small glass bead onto all 8 strands and wrap a loop. Thread the jump ring from the last step onto the loop and wrap it closed, trimming any excess wire.
